Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

Who teaches this course?

All of our courses are taught by seasoned trainers, under the supervision of one of the original LEGO® Systems Group Master Trainers. We designed and developed the courses with the support of a veteran curriculum designer who holds an M.A. in Adult Learning.

Will you accept my existing certification if I was trained by someone else?

There are many great trainers out there. If you can provide evidence of your certification by a recognized trainer, we are more than happy to accept the basic course equivalent. This will allow you to take any of our advanced programs. However, only the courses taken with Strategic Play Group Ltd. will appear on your transcript.

I have read some good books on the subject, can I sign up for an advanced course?

We know there are excellent books, videos, and resources out there; however, to ensure the methodology is intact we insist you have certification by a recognized trainer. As Mark Twain once said, "It's not what we don't know. It's what we think we know that just ain't so."

Is there an early bird fee?

Yes, we always have early bird fees to encourage everyone to register early. Make sure you sign up quickly, because these are limited by numbers.

Do you have a group rate?

Yes, we have group rates! For a quote, please email us at hello@strategicplay.com to introduce yourself and tell us about your needs.

Do you give refunds?

Yes. We do give refunds and we do have a policy - here's the info on all that! Refunds are available, but only before the course has started, and most online course start right away.

Lost or Damaged Certificate

If for any reason (and we know there are a million) you lose or damage your original certificate and you require a replacement, we will be happy to replace the same certificate. Email us at hello@strategicplay.com and include your address, phone number, and the date you were trained, where you were trained, and who trained you. We will create a new certificate and send it to you, for an administration fee of 450.00 + GST. Yes, we know that’s expensive. So keep that certificate in a very safe place.

Certificate Name Change Request

If for any reason you require your certificate to be updated with a name change, please send your request to hello@strategicplay.com. You don’t need to tell us why, but you do need to include any and all supporting information like your government issued ID needed to prove it’s really you. Provide your original name, your new name, address, phone number, and the date and location of your training. You will be asked to send your original certificate back to us for replacement. Can we use this method with children?

Children love to play, but we suggest you reserve these methods for those aged 6 and up. The methods are designed for adult problem solving; however, older children and youth are very interested in this tool. The tools has multiple applications that work well with different populations. Remember, children under the age of six need to engage in self-directed free play, which emerges from their own interests and developmental needs.

What are all the ways I can apply this method?

No one can count them all! We are still exploring new applications and ideas emerge continually. This is totally open to your own imagination, experience, and skill level. But whatever you do with these tools, please share your ideas with us. We are always interested in hearing from you.

Do you provide coaching?

Yes, and we think this is a great idea. Coaching is available at any time, but we strongly suggest you work with a coach when you first begin to offer your sessions.

Do you provide help with business start-ups, business development, proposal writing, or any other internal business functions? Do you provide help with strategy and market development (sales etc.)?

Yes. We can help you in all these areas. Just send us an email and lets us know what you need, because we customize this based on your requirements.

What is the learning model?

This learning is an interactive experience where the learners are fully engaged. You will see, hear, and do all the activities as you learn in real time. We have worked hard to create learning that is brain friendly and meets all learning styles.
